Millfield and Sedbergh go head to head for final match in Pool 1, and Ipswich battle Whitgift for title in Pool 2.
The Schools Championship (TSC) 2023 season reaches the final round of matches with both Pools going down to the last match.
In Pool 1, 2022 Champions, Millfield travel to Sedbergh knowing a bonus point win will see them retain their title won when they beat Sedbergh last year in Thailand. Cumbria in December will be a very different proposition for the Somerset team, and their old foes in brown will be eager to finish their inconsistent season on a high.
Pool 1 saw Clifton College fly out of the blocks with astounding wins against Millfield and Sedbergh, but then Wellington College turned their own season around after an opening round loss to Millfield, they then beat Clifton, and a stunning win against Sedbergh has seen the Berkshire school climb to the top of the Pool on points difference from Clifton.
All eyes, and calculators, will be ready on 6th December to see if Millfield can pip Wellington.
2023 also saw new entrants into the TSC, Ipswich and Northampton School for Boys, join Whitgift in Pool 2. The equation is more straight-forward as it comes to a head to head between Ipswich and Whitgift on 9th December, with the winner becoming the inaugural winner of Pool 2 - also, on the line is Ipswich’s unbeaten record for the season so far.

ABOUT THE SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP
The TSC was set up in 2022 by Millfield, Sedbergh, Wellington College and Whitgift who all had shared mission that a TSC could help promote schools rugby and showcase the free-flowing style the game is played.
The goal was to encourage participation and Clifton College, Ipswich School and Northampton School for Boys joined in 2023. All 3 schools also joined the steering committee whose aim is share ideas and thoughts on schools rugby.
